Puppy Shower!

So did I mention my family is a bunch of crazy dog lovers? We would probably also be cat people if we were not deathly allergic. Animal lovers all around here. So, if you didn't read my previous post, we got a new German Shepherd puppy, Raven, a few months back.

We were so incredibly heart broken when we lost our previous shepherd, Emily, of 11 1/2 years. Our house was way too empty without a dog and we had to find a way to fill the emptiness. I have to say Raven has done that for us! She is a handful but brings us so much joy!

As a fun surprise, my parent's threw us a puppy shower! I had never heard of this but I thought it was the most fantastic thing! It turned into more of a family get together since it was a great way to see cousins and Aunts that I hadn't seen in such a long time. Apparently everyone loves a puppy and what better way to get everyone together than also have a puppy there for them to see?

We originally thought it was going to be a party for my dad's birthday since it was that weekend, but we showed up to this! It was so thoughtful and I can't thank them enough. Raven got lots of fun chew toys, balls, stuffed animals, ever needed poop bags, and cozy blankies! She is one spoiled rotten dog! My mom put so much thought and details into the part as well. Here are a few things she purchased and where she got them. I am not being paid for any of these, just thought I would help someone out if they wanted to throw a puppy party of their own!

Puppy Food Bowl Favors - Purchased at our local party store - Paper icecream bowls, candy, colored netting by the yard that she cut into circles and tied with ribbon.

Cake - That special cake was made personally and secretively, by my awesome friend, I'm sure any local bakery would be able to put something like that together
